OBSOBS er en autoritær indgriben i det offentlige rum. Værket stiller spørgsmålstegn ved vores blotte accept af myndigheder omkring os. Hvad gemmer sig bag uniformen? Hvordan styres vi? I en skulpturel hybrid mellem performance og installationskunst forstyrres vores “normale” bevægelsesmønstre og adfærd i det offentlige rum ved at lukke, styre og skjule vores almindelige tegnkonventioner. Brugen af røde og hvide striber og autoritært kropssprog leder os og belyser de skel, som ophøjer, manifesterer og skaber autoriteten i og over for os. Oplev en manifestation af magtens koreografiske absurditet. Tobias Shaw Petersen er skuespiller og arbejder i skæringspunktet mellem dans, teater og performance. Værket er stedsspecifikt og foregår udendørs.

OBSOBS is an authoritarian intervention in public space. The work questions our mere acceptance of authorities around us. What hides behind the uniform? How are we governed? In a sculptural hybrid between performance and installation art, our “normal” patterns of movement and behaviour in the public space interfere with closing, controlling and hiding our common sign conventions. The use of red and white stripes and authoritarian body language guides us and illuminates the shells that exalt, manifest and create authority in and against us. Experience a manifestation of the power’s choreographic absurdity. Tobias Shaw Petersen is an actor and works at the intersection of dance, theatre and performance. The piece is site specific and takes place outside.
